About
Emiliano Gomez-Forte is a Swiss and German artist and researcher working across sculpture, installation, and media art. He studied at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig under David Zink Yi, Frances Scholz, and Thomas Rentmeister, and completed his bachelor's degree at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg in the class of Simon Denny. His work examines the intersections of sport, acceleration, and military-industrial logics, alongside right-wing social media culture, the ideological framing of nature, and the political appropriation of symbols.
Working with technical and high-performance materials such as carbon fiber, drone components, and sports equipment, he develops sculptures and installations that combine assisted readymades with strategies of staging and spatial transformation. His practice engages with questions of surveillance, environmental destruction, hyper-masculine optimization culture, and the power structures of consumer society.
